The Stone

I am not talking about the Rolling Stones

the stones had me down and made me realize youthfulness is not mine

when you feel helpless there seems to be nothing that can cheer you up

the door to reason seems closed

you feel like screaming but you don’t have the energy for the effort

you stop trying to figure the cause and just fall into the thing

you start to wonder if there will  ever be a turn around

it not pretty but you manage

it not the end of the world but it sure does feel like it

Then one day the sky opens up and you find out who you really are.
